Here is where I will share my weight loss journey. I hope to become a much healthier person by exercising more and eating properly.

Loving the beach
Whew! What a whirlwind of a vacation! I had so much fun at the beach with my family. We ate, we drank, and we played! I just love being by the ocean. It's such a calming feeling for me. My daughter was so much fun this year since she was really able to enjoy the water and the boardwalk. She loved the rides and playing all sorts of games. It does amaze me though how much of a ripoff some of (maybe all of) those games are. I don't even want to think about the actual amount of money that we spent during the week.
I guess you can figure that I did not eat well AT All during the week. Well, I did manage to eat my yogurt during the day but after that, things just kind of went down hill. I am not upset because I knew it would happen. Heck, I am the one who allowed it to happen. My goal starting today is to get back on plan and start tracking again. I will plan my meals ahead of time and do my darnedest to stick to it.
I have six months until we go to Disney and since we will be doing a TON of walking, I want to feel comfortable.
I am going to try to post some pictures of what I am eating. I say try because it takes me forever to get pictures up and a lot of times I just don't have the extra time. So, we will see what happens.
Let the summer begin! Until next time, stay strong and eat healthy.

Sick and Tired
Well, I'm still around but I have been struggling. I have been under a lot of stress at work and for me that is not good. It's not good because I realized that I am a stress eater. This has caused me to go on binges that are not good. I justify all of my bad eating decisions on the fact that I'm having a bad day, minute, hour, etc. That only spells disaster for me. Then I wonder why I am only stuck at a small loss on the scale! Ugh!!! I really need to get it together.
I just keep telling myself that I really do want this and that I really am sick and tired of being fat! I will conquer this.....one painful pound at a time!

Still Alive and Kicking
Things have been mad busy for me lately. I am trying to get through my daughter’s dance recital, work has been crazy, people are constantly wanting play dates, and I have not been feeling so well. My allergies have been really acting up lately and it is causing me to feel extremely sluggish. I made it to the gym twice last week, but my intention was to go no fewer than three times. Hopefully I can make that happen this week. Oh, I haven’t been going to the SPIN class on Friday mornings because each time I go to sign-up, the class list is already full. UGH!!!! Why all of a sudden is everyone wanting to take the express class in the morning????
Since I have joined back up with WW, I have really been trying to watch what I am eating. I realize that I need the accountability of a weekly weigh-in to keep me in check. I was up .4 last week, but that is much less than what I expected because I REALLY enjoyed myself for Mother’s Day weekend.
Since we have a three day weekend coming up, I really hope I can get a couple of bike rides in. I am itching to get back out there on the bike since its been awhile.
Well, gotta go. Until next time, stay strong and eat healthy.
Oh, almost forgot! I was just coming back to my desk and there were tables set out in the open area at work with tons of cake being given away. I walked past it twice and declined the offer of cake twice!!!! YES!!!!

Ramblings
Hello, is anyone there? I haven't posted in awhile but I am here. I am still trying to get through this thing called life. I seem to be stuck at a weightloss plateau....ugh!!!! I lost two pounds two weeks ago but nothing since. Let me tell you it is completely discouraging and frustrating. I mean, I know I have made some bad choices foodwise, but I have not done that consistently. Besides, I have been exercising too so something should be coming off!!
On another note, I have some scheduled days off from work coming up and I cannot wait. I plan on taking some nice bike rides with some friends. I hope I will be able to post some pictures.
I saw this girl at the gym last night and she was simply AMAZING!! I don't know how she was able to do the exercises that she was doing! I tell you what, she sure had me working out harder and pushing myself harder. I was trying not to stare but her arms were cut to perfection and her legs were built! I can only hope that I get to that level of fitness one day.
Well, I better go get this day started. I am doing good so far with food. It's still early so all I've had is a chocolate peanut butter protein shake. I'm drinking coffee now and plan to drink a ton of water today. Please, please let me stay on track and have a good day.
Until next time, stay strong and eat healthy!

Could Be Doing Better
I'm a little late but I want to let you know how I did with my March goals
1. Drink at least 64 oz of water daily....well, not quite. I think I was drinking more like 48 oz which I know is not nearly enough!
2. No fast food....I failed. I had McDonald's
3. Only eat the food that I packed for lunch....I probably did this 50% of the time....definitely need to work on this
4. Exercise at least 3x a week...MAJOR fail here....I did not go to the gym for two weeks!!!! I started back today and I am hopefully getting back to my routine.
I am not trying to make excuses but I have been under a lot of stress at work. I know now more than ever that I am a stress eater....not good!!!!
Today I had my chocolate protein shake before I went to the gym. After the gym I had my Greek yogurt. Around 10am I was starving and grabbed a soft pretzel. Not the best idea, but I'm moving on from it. I had a scoop of chicken salad on lettuce with some crab and asparagus soup for lunch. Not a bad lunch but then I came home and had chick Fil-A for dinner. Not such a bright idea either.
Tomorrow is another day for me to make better decisions. I will try my best.....
Until next time, stay strong and eat healthy.

My Eats
Ok, I'm just going to do a quick update on what I have been eating lately.
For breakfast I have been having a protein shake that consists of:
1 scoop of Designer's Whey Protein Powder
Handful of spinach
1 frozen banana
1/2 cup blackberries
2 strawberries
Dash of agave nectar
I just blend this all together in my Magic Bullet and off to work I go. I have been realizing that this keeps me quite full for several hours. Once I begin to feel hungry I grab a piece of fruit (an apple or banana) or some Greek yogurt. I have really been enjoying Fage Total 0% Greek yogurt. I like the blueberry with Acai and the strawberry with goji. I hope I remember to take a picture of it the next time (speaking of pictures, I really need to take pictures of all that I eat but I always remember when it's too late).
For lunch I have a turkey sandwich on rye with some pretzels or a 1/2 of a turkey sandwich with some chicken noodle soup and pretzels.
For my afternoon snack ( if I'm hungry) I will have a protein bar or some more fruit. If I haven't eaten my yogurt, I will then eat it at this time.
Throughout all of this I am constantly drinking my water. ;-)
Dinner is where I have been having issues. I will eat what the family is having which has not been a great idea lately. We had pizza one night, pasta the next, and then some Chinese food the other night. I just have to have my own dinners planned out and stick to it.
How do you handle family meals or do you make your own separate meals?
Ok, I said this was going to be a quick post but somehow it is longer than I expected.....oh well.
Until next time, stay strong and eat healthy.

Whole Foods Hungry
Well, here we are into another month. I had a great weekend! Our friends were here from out of town so we spent most of the time catching up and reminicising. My daughter just loves them so she was on over drive the entire weekend.
Yesterday I decide to head over to Whole Foods to pick up some things for the week. They just opened the store near me about a month ago. Boy was it crowded. I got some fruits and veggies, some granola, yogurt, and quinoa. Then I started putting unnecessary stuff in the cart. Why???? Because like the crazy person I am, I went to the store while I was hungry!!!! Duh!!! It's my own fault and I should know better. I put a Carmel coated beignet in the cart along with some things from the hot foods bar like rice and chicken. Then I got one of those Odwalla drinks.....did I need that??? No!! When I got home and started eating the beignet, it was sickening.....too sweet and definitely too much Carmel! I threw half of it away which to me is a win since I would normally just force myself to eat the whole thing. I should have taken a picture of it so that you could see all the ooziness (not sure if that's a word). At any rate, I plan to have a great week food wise. I am going to track everything I eat and keep up with th points. I am even going to Weight Watchers this week! Hey, summer is coming and I want to feel comfortable.
On a side note, I ordered some padded bike shorts. Can't wait until they come in. Bike riding is definitely going to be my thing this summer.
Until next time, stay strong and eat healthy.
