Any Suggestions??

I have been at a weight loss plateau for what seems like forever now.  I want this weight to come off now!!!  Why is it taking so long???  Seems like I hit the 25lb mark and cannot lose anymore.  I have SO much more to lose.  I have been hitting the gym and watching what I eat.  I have even asked the trainer at the gym to write up a plan for me.  I will pick it up tomorrow and see what it is that he is suggesting for me to do.  Hopefully it will jump start my weight loss again.  I need to do this!!!  Does anyone else have any suggestions on what might help me?

Wednesday's Weigh in.....

Yesterday went well.  I weighed in and was down another pound.  I really thought I would have lost more but hey, at least the scale went down.  Workouts are going well and I am waiting for the trainer to design a plan for me so that I can get in more weight training.  I know that when I consistently start doing weights that my weight will come down faster.
I am thinking of doing a 5k in June.  There is one in April that my co-workers are talking about but I don't think I'll be ready in time for that one.  I am wondering if I am just making excuses.  I mean, I don't have to run the entire time since it will only be my first race.  I am just nervous.  I will have to see how my workouts go at the gym.
Well, its off to get some breakfast.  I think I will have some oatmeal and some fruit or maybe a bagel with some peanut butter.  Hmmmmm...decisions, decisions.

So far So Good

This is going to be a quick post as I have some work that needs to get done.  Just wanted to say that this day has started out well as far as food is concerned.
I ate two waffles topped with Almond Butter, Chia Seeds, and Greek yogurt.  I had a cup of coffee and some water.  For lunch I plan on having some chicken salad and some crackers.  I will have to find something for my snack because at this time I don't have anything healthy around.  I am planning on doing some exercise this evening.  So far, so good.

Super Bowl Sunday And Other Ramblings

Well Hello....ok, wait....is anyone still reading my blog? I know I haven't posted in awhile.  I was down and out with bronchitis!  No fun at all.  I am finally getting back on my feet.  I missed a whole week of exercise and let me tell you that I REALLY did miss it.  I never thought I'd be so happy to get back to the gym.
My eating has been ok although I have not counted points or tracked the way that I should have.  I did however, keep myself aware of what I was putting in my mouth.  I went out to dinner with friends and made sure to look at the menu online before I went so that I could make a healthy choice.  I had a grilled chicken sandwich with avocado and some sweet potato fries.  AND...I drank water!!!!!  Yippee!!!  No soda and no alcohol.  I did have dessert though because they have the oreo cookie ice cream that I just love.  I felt very satisfied after my meal.  I didn't feel overly full and I was feeling guilty for eating dessert.
I have not been to a Weight Watcher meeting in about three weeks now.  I WILL be going this week and I will let you know the results.  I don't think that I have gained any but I don't feel like I have lost what I wanted either.  Oh well, I will find out on Wednesday.
I am thinking of signing up to run a 5k in June on Father's Day.  It just makes me nervous because I am NOT a runner.  I had gotten up to about the 4th week (I think) of the Couch to 5k program before I started doing other things at the gym.  I think I am going to try to give it another shot.  I asked the trainer at the gym to make up a plan for me.  I will see what he comes up with and let you know how I am making out.
So, its off to get ready to enjoy the Super Bowl.  I am routing for Pittsburgh since Philly got knocked out.  Until next time, stay strong and eat healthy.
