Oh The Burn......

Whew!!!!  My legs are k-i-l-l-i-n-g me!!!  Those squats that we did yesterday at the gym really have me walking like a baby this morning.  The strange thing is that I like this "burning" feeling though.  Hahahahaha!!  Call me crazy, but since I know it is so called "good" pain, I like it.
I did cardio this morning by way of the elliptical and the treadmill.  I walked and ran on the treadmill.  I really want to run\walk a 5k.  I guess I just need to find one and sign up for it.  I'm holding back because I'm afraid.  I also did some weights for my legs and arms this morning.  I want to try to get as much in as I can since summer is fast approaching.  Missed my Weight Watcher's meeting last night.  Trying to get my eating back on track.

Changing Things Up A Bit

Change.....not always an easy thing. Sometimes its necessary though.
I am at a standstill with the weight loss and the exercising.  I overslept yesterday and took my good old time getting ready. So, you know what that meant.....no gym for me.  I wasn't even upset because I really did not feel like going anyway.  I need to shock my body to get things moving again.  So, my friend was in the gym this morning working out with the trainer and to my surprise and delight, she asked if I wanted to join them.  Heck Yes!!!! We did step with weights and squats with weights.  My legs were BURNING!!!  This was a good change of pace for me.  I thanked them and let them carry on (I didn't want to overstay my welcome) and then I proceeded to ride the bike, run a little on the treadmill and do some more weights.
I am once again feeling motivated.  Change.....might be something that is good for me.  :-)

Quick Post...I'm still here

Hello All!  I am still here.  Things have been extremely hectic with work and kid stuff, but I have been hanging in there.  I have been consistently going to the gym.  I have added weight training to my workout.  I am feeling better but it also seems that I am feeling more tired some days.  I missed my weigh in AGAIN because things got too busy.  I'm not worried though because I have been watching what I am eating.  I am also concentrating more on my water intake.  Its easier for me to drink more water during the week when I am at work.  I think that is because I am more on a schedule when I am at work and sitting at my desk just lends to me drinking more.
Seems as though the weather is getting nicer and I am anxious to get outdoors and do some activity.  I really cannot wait to go bike riding. I am going to make that my main activity for now.
So, that is just a brief update as to what has been going on.  I am sticking around for the long haul so bear with me.

Happy St Patrick's Day

Hello and Happy St Patrick's Day to all.  I hope everyone is having a great day.  We are having some beautifull weather here.  I missed this week's weigh in but according to the gym scale it looks like I lost a pound.  I am going to keep pushing forward and hoping that I continue to lose.
I have been eating a little crazy these past few days, but I am getting back to normal.  Its hard when work gets hectic and I tend to just grab whatever to eat.  I am not going to let the little slip up ruin me though.  Last night I ate at this place called Sweetgreen. They specialize in salads and wraps and all ingredients are from local farms and they also have organinc ingredients.  I had the most awesome salad with the best cucumber, basil yogurt dressing. I also have some frozen yogurt with blackberries, candy coated walnuts, and granola for dessert.....yummo!!!!  I cannot wait to go back.

Sunshine

What a beautiful sunny day it is.  Makes me want to get outside and take a nice long walk.  I can't wait for Spring.
 I had another successful weigh-in this week......down another 2.2 lbs for a total of 29.8. Yes!!!  Just think, next week I will be in the 30+ weight loss category.  Although it has been slow for my standards, I am just glad that it is coming off.  I aim to be down at least 40 by May.  I know this summer will be a good one for me because I will feel so much better.  And this will allow me to be much more active.
I find for me its best if I concentration on portion sizes.  I am also learning to listen to my body and only eat when I am hungry.  I was in the habit of eating just because the food was there, but now I am trying to change that.  I will keep you posted on how I manage that one.

Things Are Looking Up....Again

Whew!!!!  I went to my Weigh-In and was feeling a bit apprehensive.  I didn't know what to expect, but I knew if I gained or stayed the same that I would feel disappointed.  Well, needless to say, I was ecstatic because I am down another 4.6 lbs!!!!!  YES!!!!!  That means I am down a total of 27 lbs.  I could not be more happy.  I mean I was really feeling down and in a rut.  If I hadn't lost any, I don't know what I would have done because I knew that I was exercising hard and eating right.  So, it all paid off.  Now all I have to do is continue on this journey.
My plans for the rest of this week are to continue with the exercises and add in my weight training.  I have a new workout plan from the trainer at the gym so we'll see what happens.

Any Suggestions??

I have been at a weight loss plateau for what seems like forever now.  I want this weight to come off now!!!  Why is it taking so long???  Seems like I hit the 25lb mark and cannot lose anymore.  I have SO much more to lose.  I have been hitting the gym and watching what I eat.  I have even asked the trainer at the gym to write up a plan for me.  I will pick it up tomorrow and see what it is that he is suggesting for me to do.  Hopefully it will jump start my weight loss again.  I need to do this!!!  Does anyone else have any suggestions on what might help me?
